The tea ceremony is a way to reconnect with my senses and slow down time — to feel the warmth of the cup, the texture of clay, to slowly breathe in the aroma from the gaiwan, to listen to the sounds around or sink into silence.

I’m a theatre designer by education, and maybe that’s why I feel close to the idea of a “tea scene.” I love creating mood and atmosphere — thinking through the light, the balance of form, texture, and color of the teaware.

Each shade of tea’s flavor carries its own little story — the scent of raspberry pie from childhood, freshly cut grass, autumn soil after rain, or bright tropical fruit.

I love hiking and spending time outdoors. In nature, tea becomes a guide — helping to slow down and truly see what surrounds you.

Tea creates a space for closeness, heartfelt conversation, and silence — a place to reconnect with your feelings and find beauty in simple moments.
